About

Welcome to ADumbApe.WordPress.com. I know I just copied my first post here, but it sums up the whole blog pretty good.

I plan to talk about some crazy stuff from racism and religion to conspiracy and doomsday theories I hope to disprove or at least provide the information you might need to see why I think it’s ridiculous.

I do not intend to offend anybody out there, but my opinions and views can be a bit harsh at times. But that’s the great thing about having a blog, all of you readers out there can comment and start a discussion on any of my posts. And that’s exactly what I want. I want to talk to people around the world and get an idea of what the global view is on these things. I plan on hearing from some pretty extreme people and some people who might be offended and hate everything I have to share.

A little bit about myself to get things started. My name is Josh and I live in Canada, home of the cold beer, land of the free health care. Nova Scotia to be exact. Being bi-racial has given me an interesting chance to see a scary side of racism that some just don’t get to see. Black/White if you are curious. The part that’s made it so different from some other bi-racial people is my very light skin. But we’ll get into that later when the time is right. I don’t want to start off with a bang. I’m hoping to keep you readers coming back, not scare you away on post 1.

What else? ….. Oh yeah, I’m an atheist that has a pretty strong opinion on all things religion. This is a topic where I plan and expect some pretty harsh discussion to arise. I want to say it now, and for the 2nd time. I DO NOT plan to offend, but apologize for those who are offended. This blog is not for those people. I want to talk to people who are rational minded and willing to engage in some Q&A about religion and the many aspects of it. Both to learn more myself about what people believe out there, and to maybe enlighten some religious people about some of what many atheists believe. We’re not devil worshiping crazy people. But more on that later.

Another topic to be covered will be conspiracies and doomsday theories. As an atheist I spend a bit of time reading, watching, and in general spending time learning about science, and what it has to offer. I try my best to weed through the ridiculous claims from conspiracy theorists and doomsday theorists. There are too many to get through them all, and I hope to either disprove or provide enough information to put some people at ease. I know this is a topic that can very quickly get out of hand, so I’m going to have to be very careful with which ones I choose to bring up.

Lastly, I will be using this blog as a way to just talk about whatever happens to cross my mind from time to time. I, like any other person will get motivationally jacked and that’s when the bored ape will come to play.

Well, I think that about sums up me, and my plans with the blog. I hope you can enjoy it without any hard feelings, and hope you participate in the discussions. Never know what we all might learn here, but hopefully we learn a lot.

Thanks for now, and can’t wait to get started.

Peace!

I’ll say this, When it comes to Armageddon, 2012, or any other related doomsday scenarios, it’s not going to happen because of prophecy or You might hear some say,” It’s written in the stars,” We as humans will make it happen. We have already read the text that are thousands of years old give that knowledge to an extremist or whack job and they make it happen……….

Yup. it’s likely true that we will be our own demise. Just hope I am long gone before it happens. Although it would be fascinating to at least know what it was that was the final straw to end humanity.

Yea Man, it is kinda scary to think about. I think the final straw will be when we run out of oil, even though we are making progress with electric cars and all the related things we use gas and oil for, It’s going to be very hard to develope an electric ” fighter jet” or ” boomber”. Our military sucks down a lot of fuel and to keep up the capacity to wage war when needed we will fight for it. It’s happening right now, you just don’t hear about it on the news. This is only my opinion though. I think there are many factors that could bring this about and religion is at the top of the list . Isalmic Extremist killing in the name of God, all it’s going to take is for them to get a hold of a nuke and set it off somewhere and when that happens it’s going to allow other to follow suit.

Hard to say what it will be. Nuclear attacks could be a very possible threat, but it would require a LOT of nukes to cause the end of humanity though. Also, the fight for oil is possible to be the catalyst to spark whatever war type of end might be possible. My guess would be biological warfare before nuclear. Biological has the potential to spread much faster without much notice before its too late.

Right now the earliest threat I know of isn’t clear whether or not it will actually happen. The odds are stacked highly against it. Talking about the apophus asteroid. If it does “loop the needle” in 2029 it will return about 7 years later and land somewhere on earth. Most calculations show in the middle of the pacific ocean and the tsunamis resulting would only reach around 1 to 2 miles inland along the western North American coast. And similar on other coasts over seas, but there would be approximately 50 or 60 tsunamis spaced about 45 seconds apart, each getting slightly weaker than the one before, so the 1 or 2 miles would be completely destroyed.

But that’s only 1 possibility. There are endless possibilities, global warming, pandemics, other unknown asteroids (although it is the least likely due to the knowledge of most possible candidates) and no doubt there will be a war between religions at some point. They simply cannot all co-exist without a breaking point.

And last, there are other fuel types out there, and will probably be others to fuel things in the military hopefully soon, but there is absolutely no reason we still are so dependant on oil as everyday civilians. We should have cheaper electric cars or at least cars than run on cheaper less polluting fuels until they perfect the cheaper electric. Todays electric cars are either golf cart looking boxes or sports cars/bikes that are made for the rich. They have yet to really market them to the middle and lower class which is where we need it most.
